WHY IT MATTERS

You Only See Your Property Half The Time

A beautifully designed landscape is dark for ten hours a day. All that patio, planting, and stonework — invisible from dinner until sunrise. Layered outdoor lighting changes that. It doesn't just make your property safer. It gives you back the other half of the day.

WHY IT MATTERS

Beautiful Landscapes Shouldn't End At Sunset

The right lighting creates depth, warmth, and elegance while making your property safer and easier to navigate. Instead of harsh floodlights, we use carefully placed low voltage fixtures that highlight the natural beauty of your landscape with subtle, professional illumination.

Whether you're entertaining guests, enjoying a quiet evening outside, or simply pulling into your driveway, quality landscape lighting makes your property feel more welcoming every night of the year.

OUR PROCESS

Craft, on a schedule.

Step 01

On Site Consultation & Estimate

We walk your property in daylight to see the layout, features, and how you use the space — then we talk about how you want it to feel after dark. You'll get an honest scope and a clear price in writing.

Step 02

Layered Lighting Design

We design the system in layers by path, architectural, accent, and task — so each area has the right light for how you use it. No flood-lit lawn. No dark corners. You approve the plan before we install.

Step 03

Install By Our Own Crew

Our own crew installs the system with no subs. Clean, buried low-voltage runs, correctly-placed fixtures, and thoughtful aiming. We install it right the first time.

Step 04

Walkthrough & Guarantee

We walk the finished system with you at night — that's when it counts — and fine-tune the aim and scene settings on the spot. Then we stand behind it with our workmanship guarantee.

FAQ

Straight Answers.

How much does outdoor lighting cost in Sonoma County?

Most residential lighting installs run from a few thousand for a targeted project (path lighting, patio wash, tree accents) up to $15,000+ for a full architectural and landscape lighting design on an estate property. We give you an itemized quote after we walk your property. Financing is available for larger installs.

Is low-voltage LED lighting better than line-voltage?

For landscape lighting, yes — almost always. Low-voltage LED is safer to install, more energy-efficient, easier to adjust or expand later, and the fixture quality has caught up to line-voltage in every way that matters. It's what we install.

Do the lights need to be on all night?

Not unless you want them to. Every system we install includes timers or smart controls — you can set the lights to run from dusk to a set time, turn on with motion, or run scenes for entertaining. Most clients run their system from dusk to around 11pm.

What kind of fixtures do you use?

Professional-grade, low-voltage LED fixtures — brass, copper, or powder-coated finishes that hold up to weather and time. Not big-box store fixtures that fade or fail in a season. You'll see the options before we install.

Can I control the lights from my phone?

Yes — smart, WiFi-enabled controllers are a standard option. You can turn zones on and off, dim, run pre-set scenes, and adjust from anywhere.

What areas do you serve?

Wine Country Landscaping proudly provides landscape design services throughout Sonoma County, including Santa Rosa, Petaluma, Windsor, Rohnert Park, Sebastopol, Sonoma, Healdsburg, Cotati, Penngrove, and nearby communities.
